Chlorine Dioxide

As a highly effective biocide, ClO2 is often used to combat pathogenic organisms such as Legionella, Ciadia cysts and E. coli, as well as to destroy algae, fungi and biofilms in water systems. Since it has been approved by the EPA as a drinking water additive, ClO2 is a popular replacement for chlorine which can form carcinogenic byproducts.

But while ClO2 is soluble and stable when added to an aqueous solution, it is unstable as a gas. Thus, it must be produced and used on-site. This requires specialized equipment and chemical knowledge that Jaytech is prepared to assist on.
