Division Sales Manager -Des Moines, Iowa

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of sales professionals in our water treatment company. You will be responsible for optimizing profitability, increasing regional growth, and market and selling our company's water treatment products and services.

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will work collaboratively with your team to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers. You will use your technical knowledge and expertise to support and train your team members, maximizing their potential for individual and team growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the regional sales team to achieve sales goals, metrics, and profitability targets.
  • Identify and implement strategies to increase profitability and maintain gross margins within each salesperson’s territory. 
  • Maintain a current knowledge of water treatment regulations, standards, chemicals, and technologies, and effectively communicate this information to your team. 
  • Prepare action plans for your team to achieve their goals and assist in identifying quality sales prospects and closing new business. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients, and ensure that your team is in good standing with all accounts. 
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts, and participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled ride-alongs with salespeople to support their sales efforts and provide on-the-job training to new sales employees. Prepare profitability reports and sales reports in cooperation with the Sales Director, and communicate the needs of the sales team to appropriate company staff.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles within the water treatment industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of steam boilers, chillers, and cooling towers .
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
